Bubbles, by Angie Lister

Bubbles 12′ x 10′ charcoal and oil on paper. Cut into 10 pieces and framed in poplar. (9 sold)

Bubbles is inspired by the fleeting nature of beauty. It is enjoyed for a moment, then gone. When we were children, we loved to create and chase the beautiful soapy swirls and found so much joy in it. Bubbles themselves can only exist if there is a perfect balance between air, soap and water molecules. As adults, we learn that there needs to be balance in life, as children we just love to play. Both are equally important, but remembering both is difficult.
